Hastelloy Alloys Guide

Hastelloy is a group of nickel-based alloys primarily alloyed with molybdenum (Mo) and chromium (Cr) to achieve exceptional corrosion resistance.

The design focus includes:

  • Resistance to strong acids (sulfuric, hydrochloric)
  • Protection against pitting and crevice corrosion
  • Stable performance under elevated temperatures

2)B Series (Reducing Environments)

  • Hastelloy B2 (UNS N10665)
    → Excellent resistance to hydrochloric acid

    → Improved thermal stability, recommended for modern applications
